While the pop star's outbursts — like when he blasted a BET Awards show official Sunday for refusing to admit a Bieber bodyguard — are regular occurrences, one Bieber buddy has another take on it all. "Yes, Justin can get testy at times, but who wouldn't considering he is hounded by the paparazzi and other media types 24/7. Remember, he's just a kid and, I think, is extremely mature for someone his age," the source said. Another source on Team Bieber reveals the singer has a calming influence: his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. "Maybe it's because she 'gets' it, fully understands the whole fame thing because she deals with it herself," said the Bieber defender. "But boy, she sure can make him laugh at the insanity of it all, and get him to relax and have fun." NOTHING ILLEGAL: Tobey Maguire's lawyers have responded to a lawsuit filed against the "Spider-Man" star in connection with a bankruptcy case involving a claim that a now-jailed investment manager misappropriated funds to pay Maguire's supposed $300,000 winnings in an illegal poker game. Maguire's filing categorically denies he has ever participated in "controlled games," which require the host to have a license. As first reported by TMZ, Maguire also denies he's ever done anything illegal or attempted to defraud anyone, though he did admit to "being invited" to participate in the poker games in question. TAKE A BOW: After all the bizarre Charlie Sheen news, it's nice to report the actor's class-act father, Martin Sheen, will be the honoree at the Chicago International Film Festival's annual summer gala. Scum of the Girth: Justin Bieber could be answer to American financial woes - LSU The Reveille

<div readability="112">  Justin Bieber has become a household name since the little guy was discovered by Usher a few years back. Since then he's been driving the majority of Americans crazy with his repetitive lyrics and female vocal chords.  Bieber has been remarkably successful since his descent from Canada — or ascent from Hell, I can't remember which.  He's managed to make millions and millions of dollars and gain worldwide fame all before sprouting his first pubic hair, an achievement few of us could ever accomplish. By the time I was 17 all I managed to do with my life was successfully blame my farts on the fat kid sitting next to me in class.  Bieber even bought a $1.7 million condo in the heart of Los Angeles. Pretty impressive considering he still needs his mom to co-sign on his bank account for another year.  As you all know, our country is a severe state of denial about how much debt we're in. We're currently at risk of defaulting on our $14 trillion bill. We've managed to borrow trillions of dollars on our outstanding credit rating as a country with the expectation that we would eventually pay it back.  Usually, if you borrow a substantial amount of cash and don't pay it back, somebody comes to your house and breaks your  kneecaps. In our situation, the burden to pay will be put on the taxpayers, even though we weren't the ones who mismanaged the hell out of all that cash.  The way I see it, we have a problem. But we also have a solution. That solution just happens to be a moderately talented Canadian with a permanent itch on his ear that only a hair flip can scratch.  What I am calling for is a radical redistribution of Justin Bieber's wealth. Karl Marx would be so proud.  Let's be honest with ourselves. This little punk has more money right now than the majority of us will ever see in our lives. Let's take it. All he's doing is buying luxury condos and Hebrew tattoos to adorn his rib cage. Oh yes, it happened.  Justin Bieber has pissed off America for the last time. It's aggravating to hardworking adults to see a virgin singing about his girl problems. Get a divorce, dude, then you can sing. Hell, then you'd be qualified to sing country music, too.  I want this country to tax Justin Bieber. Tax the hell out of him. Take away his condo, take away his endorsements and take away his new perfume. If you haven't heard, it's a women's fragrance called "Someday," as in "Someday my balls may drop."  Shave his head and glue the hair to his chest. Perhaps the warmth near his lungs will result in a deeper voice for our dear friend.  Take everything this kid makes and use it to pay off our $14 trillion debt. It probably won't take very long. And if you don't want to pay off the debt with it, at least give it to somebody who deserves it.  Give it to the single moms, give it to the auto workers or give it to the schools. You can even build a Justin Bieber Hair Flipping Academy. I honestly don't care. The bottom line is that his lifestyle and excessive income are a slap in the face to hardworking people everywhere.  Nobody wants to see a little kid living the life everyone dreams of, especially if he honestly possesses very little talent. "Little known facts about Justin Bieber." Also, on Thursday a man was arrested and taken into custody after allegedly attacking Bieber at a fragrance launch in New York. The "Baby" singer reportedly suffered a minor injury and was left shaken when the unnamed man jumped over a barricade and knocked him to the ground during the promotional event for his new perfume Someday at New York's Macy's department store. The teenage singer was greeting fans outside the Manhattan landmark when the incident happened. He was ushered back inside the store, where the promotional event continued. Justin seemed unfazed by the incident though, as he later tweeted, "today went well at macy's.. the fans were AMAZING, thanks to all the fans who came out to support it was a breath of fresh air :)" Meanwhile, the man who "attacked" Justin Bieber outside a New York department store on Thursday was an undercover cop. TMZ.com reports the scary encounter was all a big misunderstanding between the pop star's security team and police. The website claims a member of Bieber's personal security team was cited for disorderly conduct when he challenged a plainclothes police officer, who rushed to help the singer when the crowds outside the Macy's store became unruly. Bieber had no idea who the guy was and fought him off. During the fracas news got out that the singer had been attacked. If it launches anywhere near expectations, the "fruity gourmand" scent could earn up to $30 million in sales. Someday is a follow-up to Bieber's first fragrance, the unisex-marketed My World, and his branded line of nail polish. While it is rare for a male celebrity to promote a women's perfume, the product seems to be a natural fit for Bieber's enthusiastic adolescent female fanbase. A large crowd of those excited, anxious Bieber devotees gathered at Macy's Herald Square in New York City on June 23 in anticipation of a special launch event. Initial reports from the event alleged that Bieber was pushed to the ground in a scuffle with an undercover police officer, but a rep for the singer later told The Hollywood Reporter that it was "a momentary, well-intentioned misunderstanding that was quickly resolved". This will be his third stop on the show, which is a good track record for him. I do have feeling that the ladies will push his personal life into the public. I hope he can keep himself poised enough to get through those inevitable issues. I doubt he and his team can work their way around it. The View is not known for their tact or niceness when it comes to info that they want. So Scooter better start preparing Justin and coaching him. I know that he has been on the show before, but he was never in a publicly known relationship before either. Thus it is safe to assume that this upcoming interview could be important. I know that he also said some stuff in his Rolling Stone interview that a few of those ladies will likely have issue with. With Gomez being in the hospital as of late and working the media to promote her new album, she and Bieber have reportedly not seen each other in a while. This comes off the heels of the two taking a vacation to Hawaii in late May. That was the same vacation where Bieber and Gomez shared a PDA kiss while they were in the water, and the same vacation where Bieber's fanbase of primarily young girls felt betrayed by Bieber and especially Gomez. Gomez would then receive escalating death threats on Twitter and other social media websites as a result. Premium content company Global One indulged in misleading conduct last year when it offered Justin Bieber's One Time ringtone to customers who sent a text message, Justice Bennett of the Federal Court in New South Wales found on Wednesday. While purchasers were led to believe they were purchasing a one-off product for a one-off fee, they were in fact signing up for an ongoing service with recurring subscription fees.  Advertisement: Story continues below <noscript>  </noscript> Another company called 6G advertised entry to a mobile quiz, a mobile Space Invaders game and a mobile Doodle Jump game, between March and July 2010, which also appeared to be one-off costs when in fact they were ongoing subscription costs in breach of the Trade Practices Act. The court noted the advertisements were aired during television programs with young audiences. "The Justin Bieber advertisement is, in my view, the most egregious of the advertisements," Justice Bennett said in her preliminary judgment. "Clearly it was of appeal to under 18 year olds, including under 15 year olds." Global One was fined $150,000 and 6G was fined $75,000 for each of the three advertisements. They must also pay the costs of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, which instigated action in October last year. The court ordered the companies to stop advertising the products and implement compliance programs. After all, tickets were sold for $250 and up to $1,500 to benefit a good cause: College Track, a program for students who need positive academic direction.
