Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey Play Santa In 'Christmas' Clip - MTV.com

Deck the halls! The holiday kicked into high gear Wednesday night (November 30) when New York's massive Christmas tree was lit during "Christmas in Rockefeller Center." Plenty of A-listers were on hand, including Justin Bieber, who premiered his highly anticipated video for "All I Want for Christmas Is You," featuring Mariah Carey.

Before the strings of lights were illuminated, performances from Michael Bublé, Katharine McPhee, Big Time Rush, Tony Bennett, Carole King and Neil Diamond warmed viewers up. But Bieber was the headline act of the night, giving fans some big performances and even bigger video premiere.

Bieber amped up the energy with his hip-hop-ified take on the Christmas classic "Little Drummer Boy," which included him spitting a holiday-themed rhyme. Decked in all black, the teen star had the crowd screaming. He was even joined by Busta Rhymes, who appears on the Under the Mistletoe cut.

JB then slowed things down with "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," leaving his female fans swooning as he crooned the holiday standard. He was joined by his mentor Usher for the track.

"God bless and Merry Christmas," Bieber told the crowd before tossing to the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" video. The clip features Mariah Carey dressed in a sexy Santa Claus outfit standing in a department store as she dances around singing the track, almost as if she's on display for holiday shoppers. It also sees Bieber and his pals shopping for some choice holiday gifts like high-top kicks.

In between performance shots of Bieber and Mariah, a street-corner Santa Claus hands out envelopes to shoppers on the street, teasing an inevitable yuletide party scene. The shoppers are then welcomed into the department store, where Justin and Mariah hand out gifts to everyone. The duo tease and flirt with each other as everyone around them unwraps their gifts.

Bieber and Carey re-recorded her classic holiday tune for his chart-topping holiday album, which also features appearances from the Band Perry and Boyz II Men. They filmed the video earlier this month, just in time for the holiday season.

Did Bieber get you in the holiday spirit? Let us know in the comments!

Justin Bieber tops Kim Kardashian as most-searched person of 2011 - Los Angeles Times

Justin Bieber has overtaken Kim Kardashian as the most-searched person in 2011, according to the search engine Bing.

Looks like Kim just can't get a break.

Kardashian was the queen of search last year, but the combination of Bieber's My World 2.0 Tour, hit concert movie "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," "Saturday Night Live" hosting job, Christmas album, romance with Selena Gomez and the little matter of the now-pulled paternity suit over Mariah Yeater's baby were enough to push him to the top spot.

Meanwhile, Kardashian launched a new reality show, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," got married and got divorced. It was quite a lot, but not enough to stop Bieber fever.

Several notable names dropped out of the top 10 this year, including Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. But President Obama may have fallen the furthest. In 2010, was the No. 5 most-searched person. In 2011, he was No. 49.

Two people who got huge boosts in 2011 were Gomez, who went from No. 50 to No. 11 (thanks, no doubt, to all the Bieber-smooching) and Jennifer Lopez, who wasn't in the top 50 last year and is now fifth.

Although Amy Winehouse's death was the fifth most searched-for news story for the whole year, Winehouse herself did not make the top 10 most searched-for people.

Women did very well in 2011, however. Although Bieber was the No. 1 person and musician, the rest of the top 10 in both categories were women. Additionally, Chelsea Handler beat out Conan, Dave and Jay to be the most searched-for late night talk show host. And all of the top 10 reality stars were women.

Strangely, the most searched-for movie was not the final "Harry Potter" or "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1," but Tom Cruise's "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." The dominance of the fourth movie in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise makes one wonder if Bing is the preferred search engine of either the Church of Scientology, or animation fans (it's directed by animator Brad Bird).

RELATED:

Kim Kardashian made a big fat Christmas card mistake?

Justin Bieber discusses his DNA test (and we help explain the moustache)

Kim Kardashian's Thanksgiving mission to help those in need -- with potatoes

-- Patrick Kevin Day

Photos: Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian. Justin Bieber Graduates To 'Adult Game' On New Album - MTV.com

Justin Bieber has said that he wants to pull a Justin Timberlake on his next album. So what exactly does that mean? His longtime vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, spoke to MTV News about the early stages of Bieber's next release.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," said Harrell, who has also worked with Rihanna on her Talk That Talk record. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."

With further details on this next album being kept under wraps, Bieber is busy celebrating the holidays. He's slated to release his video for "All I Want for Christmas," co-starring Mariah Carey, on Wednesday. Harrell worked with Bieber on his Under the Mistletoe LP and says agreeing to do a Christmas album with the teen phenomenon was an easy yes.

"That's why I think this Christmas album was really important because it gave everybody the opportunity to hear him, see him and get used to his voice changing," he said. "That was a huge thing going into this album. We were able to get a running start on where he's at vocally 'cause it's a natural thing. When his proper album comes out, everybody's going to really be looking at that."

What will be noticeably different on this next album, which was teased on his holiday album, is that Bieber's voice will be much deeper. So does Harrell think it'll be changing a lot more for this next record? "I think he's pretty good right now," he said. "It's just a matter of him settling [into] where he is."

Regardless of what magic does end up making the final cut on this album, which Bieber has said may include work from Drake and Kanye West, Harrell notes that the 17-year-old is "always willing to bring a new fire."

Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez Thanksgiving PDA Movie Date — New Details - Gather Celebs News Channel

Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez were spotted by some lucky fans on their Thanksgiving Day date to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Breaking Dawn; Part One. The ecstatic beliebers (Selenators?) got to see Jelena engaging in some hot PDA outside the theater, and they couldn't resist writing about their brush with their idols online.

By now, everyone has heard that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez spent Thanksgiving together at her family's home in Texas where, according to sources, they were spotted "playing around the street and doing grocery shopping at the local Kroger..." It's also been well reported that Jelena went to see Twilight at the Magnolia Theater. That's where they were spotted by a fan named Taylor Green who just happened to be in the right place at the right time on her way to Pinkberry with her friends. That's when it happened —the thrill of their lives.

"As we turned, we saw two people laying in the middle of the street," Taylor recalls. "They got up and ran, and the guy ran back into the road cause he dropped something. Then the girl jumped into his arms and straddled around him, and they started to make out, or we think that they may have been hiding their faces."

Taylor and her friend were no doubt wondering why the couple was "laying in the middle of the street." Planking perhaps? Anyhow, when the girls approached closer, they realized the couple's true identity.

"We cat-called them (urban dictionary it)," Taylor continues. "...they stopped and looked at us and that's when we realized who it was......... FREAKIN JUSTIN BIEBER AND SELENA GOMEZ. So we kind of just stared at each other for like 3 seconds and then we freaked out! We didn't know if we should ask for a picture or what, so we were just screaming and yelling and drove around the block. When we went back to ask for a picture they had already gone inside"

Poor lucky, ecstatic, disappointed Taylor and her friends. At least they got to see their idols in the flesh, even if their own excitement ultimately caused them to miss out on autographs and pictures. It was more than worth it. Or as Taylor puts it:

...they really were super adorable!

So, there you have it. Justin Bieber Gets Advice From a Girl: She's Not Selena Gomez! - Gather Celebs News Channel

Justin Bieber may not follow his girlfriend Selena Gomez's suggestion to pull up his pants and leave the saggy trend behind. But he may just end up heeding the advice offered by another female, albeit kind of an unexpected one: Avril Lavigne. The punky pop entertainer, 27, actually shares more similarities to the Biebs than one might expect (they're both Canadians and singers who encountered fame and successful careers at a young age), although her popularity and achievement probably cannot stand up to his.

Still, at a recently hosted Picksie 2.0 App Launch event in New York City's Lucky Strike Lanes, Lavigne proved eager to offer her own pearls of wisdom, as well as her somewhat ironic personal seal of approval, for Justin Bieber. "I think he's doing the right thing. He seems to be working really hard and making new material," she said when questioned by a reporter. Some of that "new material" obviously includes his highly publicized and promoted Under the Mistletoe Christmas album, which is already making his teeny-bopper fans swoon.

According to the Huffington Post, Lavigne also cautioned that Bieber make sure to take care of his voice. Given his countless concerts, personal appearances and special performances, this is no doubt good advice as he's only 17 and is already demanding a lot from his vocal chords.

As for Justin Bieber's recent baby daddy drama with Mariah Yeater, Avril Lavigne may not have proved such a good source of counsel there, obviously having never dealt with a paternity scandal. But she did supply some tips of another sort -- on breakups, which may not be so applicable to Bieber, at least not yet, given his and Selena Gomez's romantic relationship appears to be stronger than ever. Lavigne said, "Time heals everything for whatever type of heartbreak it is. Whether you lose somebody or it's regarding a relationship, time heals everything." Hopefully she won't need to follow this bit of advice in her current romance with Brody Jenner!

Please provide details below to help Gather review this content. Justin Bieber discusses DNA test -- but what about that 'stache? - Los Angeles Times (blog)

Justin Bieber worked up his Thanksgiving appetite doing more rounds in New York, hitting "The View" and David Letterman's show, among others, and answering some questions about that DNA test he took a week ago in New Jersey.

And, yes, that fuzz on his upper lip is in fact a moustache, on purpose.

The paternity allegation "shouldn't even be a discussion," he said Wednesday on "The View," explaining that he took the test in New Jersey not because he had to but because he wanted to. Even if Mariah Yeater doesn't submit her baby son Tristyn's DNA for testing, he said, he "wanted everything to be out there in the open."

(Yeater's attorney told TMZ on Wednesday that, yes, the child will be tested. And, no, they weren't pleased that the singer had his own test done without Team Yeater supervision.)

Whoopi Goldberg noticed Bieber's faint moustache, but the whole gang failed to give him a chance to explain it: It's Movember, the grow-a-'stache-in-November campaign that each year aims to raise money and awareness for men's health issues, including prostate cancer.

Oh, well, ladies, it's coming off soon: "End of November I'm gonna shave it," he told "The View" cohosts, "... and then it'll take another year and a half to grow back."

Wednesday night on "Late Night With David Letterman," Bieber went into a little more detail about the DNA test, which was done at a lab in New Jersey with what his reps said was a clear chain of custody.

Letterman wanted to know, during the test, was he unconscious, and was any disrobing involved? Bieber appeared to want to know what disrobing actually was -- but, hey, cut him some slack, the kid's only 17 -- and since, as he explained, the test involves only a swab of the inside of the mouth, Dave was looking a little like a crazy old guy.

Justin's Thanksgiving message, when he finally took a break from "Under the Mistletoe" promotion? "thankful for my friends, family, and fans," he wrote on Twitter. Justin Bieber's alleged baby mama Mariah Yeater demands star take another DNA test - New York Daily News

The maybe-mama who claims Justin Bieber fathered her infant son desperately wants a DNA test – just not the one Bieber initiated last week, her lawyer claimed Wednesday.

Chicago lawyer Jeffery Leving said it's true he's yet to provide any evidence of Mariah Yeater's alleged close encounter with the Canadian crooner. Still, the single San Diego, Calif. mom deserves the right to meet Bieber with her baby and lawyers present and watch while he gets his cheek swabbed, he said.

"I want a new DNA test with both sides together at a lab in California as soon as possible," Leving told the Daily News. "As soon as I tell her to do it, she'll do it. We need proper protocol and a chain of custody."

He said reps for the pint-sized pinup made a unilateral decision when they sent Bieber for a test at a New Jersey laboratory last Friday.

He claimed his side now is communicating with Bieber's lawyer Howard Weitzman.

Weitzman repeatedly has denied to comment, but a Bieber source told The News last week that Yeater is a fraud who's trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame by drawing out the DNA test as long as possible.

Bieber, 17, has said repeatedly he's never met Yeater – much less engaged in unprotected, backstage sex with her.

He willingly discussed getting his cheek swabbed during an appearance on David Letterman's show Tuesday night.

"I could smell a weasel," he told Letterman, referring to Yeater's paternity claim.

Leving said Yeater, 20, has been receiving death threats, and he argued that Bieber's celebrity could interfere with the test's legitimacy – even if the sample was collected at a respected lab with a track record in the legal community.

"For me to feel comfortable, I want a member of my legal team in the room when Justin Bieber's genetic fluid is sampled," he said. "This case is unique in terms of media interest, celebrity and the amount of potential child support at issue. There could be motives on the parts of many different people to corrupt the evidence."

He declined again to discuss any possible evidence Yeater has linking her to Bieber – for example a ticket stub to Bieber's Staples Center concert last year or backstage photos.

He said he believes text message attributed to Yeater that name another man as the possible father were "spoofed."

He vowed to keep helping Yeater even if DNA clears Bieber.

"If Justin Bieber is not the father, then my opinion is that I'd have to explore this further because every child has a right to know who his father is," he said.

ndillon@nydailynews.com

Justin Bieber's supposed baby mama is MIA after DNA test - SheKnows.com

Forget Carmen Sandiego, where in the world is Mariah Yeater?! The gossip circuit is abuzz with whispers that Justin Bieber's "maybe baby mama" has mysteriously dropped off the radar just days after the teen heartthrob did his best impersonation of a Maury guest and submitted his DNA for a paternity test.

Yeater, a 20-year-old single mom from San Francisco, thrust herself into the national spotlight (and the crosshairs of Beliebers) earlier this fall. In an exclusive interview with Star last month, the blonde claimed to have bedded Biebs during a 30-second romp that followed his performance at the Staples Center in October 2010. As Mariah tells it, the brief (emphasis on this) encounter left her pregnant.

She gave birth to a son, Tristyn Yeater, in July and almost immediately fingered Justin as the father. Bieber, on the other hand, has consistently denied the paternity claims and now he's taken the steps to clear his name. The "Baby" crooner had his cheeks swabbed for DNA at an undisclosed testing facility in New Jersey last Friday, according to Radar Online.

"It's an extremely reputable facility, and there are surveillance cameras everywhere to ensure tests are done with complete integrity. Justin's test should be completed by the end of the week. It's time for Mariah to put up or shut up, and submit the baby to a test," an informant tells the site.

Justin Bieber's baby mama wanted a cash settlement >>

Bieber has vowed to sue Mariah and her attorneys once the DNA proves he's not a teenage dad. Ah, which brings us to the most recent curveball. Now that it's time for Mariah to produce baby Tristyn for a round of genetic testing, the tattooed and heavily-pierced bane of JB's existence is officially nowhere to be found.

The newly-assembled legal team representing the usually press-friendly young woman have also flown the coop. Yeater's disappearance has left the Bieber camp biding its time until it can clear the pop titan's good name and sue the pants off Mariah for "abuse of legal process." As if they'd have to sue her to get her pants off! If you've been keeping up with your celebrity dish, you'll recall that Mariah appeared to have prematurely ousted herself as a big fat faker last week. She was caught sending texts which asked friends to "erase all messages" where she mentions that baby Tristyn isn't Bieber's.

Interesting.

Loose-lipped informants close to the case doubt Mariah will ever provide the sought-after DNA, after all, doing so would not only invite a hefty lawsuit from Justin, but also potential legal prosecution from the Los Angeles Police Department. No reports have been filed, but a rep from the LAPD says Yeater could face statutory rape charges just based on the published reports about her alleged liaison with Bieber. Under California law, having sex with a minor when you're less than three years older than the victim is a misdemeanor, which carries up to a one-year jail sentence.

Justin Bieber takes paternity test to prove he's not the father of Mariah ... - New York Daily News

Justin Bieber wants to put all the baby-daddy drama to rest with a simple test.

The pop music dreamboy had a wild start to his night Friday — a pop-in at a New Jersey lab to provide a DNA sample under "very controlled circumstances," TMZ.com reported.

The 17-year-old Canadian crooner has vowed to his fans — known as Beliebers — that science will prove he's not the pop of a boy born last July to a woman named Mariah Yeater, who claims the hearthrob knocked her up during a Staples Center quickie.

Yeater, 20, an unemployed single mom living in San Diego, filed a paternity lawsuit against Bieber on Halloween, but quietly withdrew it two weeks ago as she started receiving death threats, her Chicago-based lawyer, Jeffery Leving, told the Daily News.

Leving said he was trying to have a DNA test done on a confidential basis, but it was not clear whether the lawyer had any say in Bieber's choice of lab.

"I originally wanted a judge to order a DNA test to make sure the test's chain of custody was safeguarded," Leving said last week.

"But the reality is that that was before these death threats escalated. And they've gotten so out of control, maintaining strict confidentiality is something we have to try."

He reserved the right to re-file the case if the two sides can't broker a mutually acceptable test.

"Arrangements were made for Justin to take the test," a Bieber source told The News, declining to comment about possible talks with Yeater's legal team.

Bieber's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, told TMZ that incriminating text messages purportedly sent by Yeater to a friend help prove she made up the baby-daddy story to get a payday.

The texts, obtained by TMZ, indicate that Yeater thought another man was the father of her baby immediately after the child was born.

"Pleeease ERASE ALL MESSAGES from my mom where she says (the baby) is Robbies Son. Selena Gomez talks Justin Bieber baby drama - TheCelebrityCafe.com

Selena Gomez at the MTV Europe Music Awards. (Belfast, Ireland)

Justin Bieber isn't the only one who can rest a little easier now after a paternity lawsuit was dropped last week, so can Selena Gomez.

The 19-year-old "Who Says" singer appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday where she opened up for the first time since Justin Bieber was accused of having a bathroom fling, and fathering a child with 20-year-old Mariah Yeater.

"What a crazy last two weeks it's been in the news," said DeGeneres."You've been alright?"

"To say the least," said Gomez. "I have been [alright.]"

"It's good to just kind of…be good," Selena added. "It's not easy."

Justin Bieber,17, from the beginning, denied the incident that Yeater claimed had happened.

"To set the record straight, none of it is true…never met the woman," he said.

Though the lawsuit has been dropped, both parties still intend to settle outside of a court, and Bieber still will take a paternity test, the results intended to remain private.

"I will state right now it's better that it's handled out of court which is in the best interests of everybody," Yeater's lawyer Jeffery Leving said, according to The Washington Post.

Bieber's camp still denies he had any involvement with Yeater.

"We've said from the beginning, it's sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim," Bieber's spokesperson said in a statement. "We'll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin."

Justin Bieber Should 'Stay Strong,' Usher Says - MTV.com

Usher might not have known how big Justin Bieber would become when he discovered him a few years back, but he was pretty sure he had found something special.

Since Bieber burst on the scene with his My World EP back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He's gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years.

Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped.

Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: "Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory."

Aside from the drama, Usher is especially proud of Bieber's charitable side. His mentor said he "absolutely" knew the kid from Stratford, Ontario, had a big heart from the start.

"To write a check is only half of it, but when you truly take on a responsibility to be a philanthropist, you accept an effort, and I really think that Pencils of Promise is something that has a very bright future," Usher told MTV News at an event for the charity, noting that Bieber is a only a small part of it.

Usher — who appears on Bieber's new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe — gives credit to the folks surrounding the teen superstar, including manager Scooter Braun. "Just judging from the determination and the will power of the entire team around Justin, I see a very, very promising [future] for him as a philanthropist," Usher said.

Justin Bieber: Who's-the-daddy DNA test looms, text casts doubt - Los Angeles Times (blog)

Justin Bieber's maybe-baby saga continues, even though Mariah Yeater, the woman who claims the singer is the father of her child, withdrew her paternity suit last week.

Yeater has since fielded new legal representation and reportedly wants to settle out of court -- Bieber is still planning to take a DNA test -- even as a compromising text message allegedly sent by the new mom has surfaced.

Yeater still wants the test, according to her new attorney, Jeffrey Leving -- they just want to do it privately, with both sides bound by confidentiality agreements. Sources on the Bieber side told TMZ there had been no settlement discussions, but said there might have been contact regarding DNA test terms. The singer's publicist told E! News that he intends to take the test.

So about that text message, which was obtained by TMZ from the recipient, who said it was sent by Yeater: The sender asks her male friend to "pleeease" erase any messages from her mom in which ex-boyfriend Robbie was named as the father. Then an offer is made to "kick u when we get paid."

Irony: In the text, the sender tells the recipient, "im trusting you" -- which might in hindsight seem silly, given that all the recipient asked TMZ to redact from the text-message picture was, well, his name.
Attorney Leving told E! News that he was checking whether the text was authentic. "Do I know if that is true or not?" he said. "No, but I do intend to look into that as it was just brought to my attention."

Leving is the one who'd said the lawsuit was pulled because of death threats and the media storm around his client. "It's better that it's handled out of court which is in the best interests of everybody," he said Wednesday. (Someone should have mentioned that death threats are nothing unusual among the Bieber fans?)

Bieber, meanwhile, seems to be doing just fine, judging by his Thursday radio interview with Elvis Duran, where he was promoting his "Under the Mistletoe" Christmas record. Check it out below -- especially the part where they make him blush over Selena Gomez, around the 24-minute mark.

Still in the dark about the whole Bieber baby daddy saga? Read about it here. Justin Bieber Channels Marky Mark in Sexy New 'Shirtless in the Dark' Pic - Gather Celebs News Channel

Justin Bieber isn't letting the Mariah Yeater love child scandal cramp his sexual style. The other day, JB almost dropped his pants exposing his underwear in a near-wardrobe malfunction in London. Later, he tweeted a super sexy shirtless photo of himself to his fans.

In Justin Bieber's latest Instagram post, the Teen Dream seems to be channeling his friend Mark Wahlberg from back in the day when he was Marky Mark. Photographed in a sexy three-quarter position, the Biebs confronts the camera clad in a pair of tight jeans and a backwards red baseball cap. His lips are slightly parted, and he seems to be squinting—inexplicably since the photo's background is black. Oh well, as long as photos are sexy, they don't have to be logical, right? Anyhow, continuing the '90s Marky Mark theme, JB is holding a water bottle in his fingerless black leather gloved hand. His biceps are naturally flexed, and, for the pièce de résistance, his tight black jeans are—you guessed it—falling down, exposing his black underwear. Although he's finally invested in a belt, it's apparently the wrong size.

Although beliebers adored their idol's latest Instagram photo which you can see here, a nagging question is: Does Justin Bieber's penchant for posting such sexy images of himself simply fuel the fire of the Mariah Yeater controversy? Although the absurd "love child" rumors will be permanently put to rest when Justin returns stateside and takes the paternity test, should he perhaps lay off tweeting such sexy images until such time as he proves himself "love child-less?" Or is he doing the right thing in going about his life as always?

What do you think?

© Hope Carson 2011

Hope Carson is the author of 2 books: A Roaring Girl: An Interview with the Thinking Man's Hooker and A Thousand and One Night Stands: The Life of Jon Vincent. You can follow her on Twitter.

Please provide details below to help Gather review this content. Justin Bieber Tries to Put Troubles Behind Him (video) - TheImproper.com

He's proclaimed his innocence and he seems to be feeling frustrated by the persistence of the negative publicity.

"So this past week and even today every rumor and lie about me possible has been coming out in the press," he wrote on Twitter.

"Just need to ignore it..but..even through all of the crap and lies..my fans have been there for me..and I just got word..it is OFFICIAL that…WE ARE THE #1 Album! so to the people making up this BS…."

His Christmas album, debuted at No. 1 on the pop charts.

He left his last sentiment unspoken, but he probably would have liked to have written a big F-U.

Among the new "crap and lies" about him, add a report in the not always reliable National Enquirer that Bieber is spurning his financially strapped grandparents.

Paternal grandparents George and Kathy Bieber are struggling because George is unable to work while Kathy holds down an $18-an-hour factory job in Justin's hometown of Ontario.

The pair allegedly helped care for Justin when he was a baby. His father left his mother when he was an young and he was raised by his mother.

"Kathy works hard to make ends meet, and she and George are hurt that Justin hasn't offered them any financial assistance," a close friend said.

Justin is trying to keep his fans focused on his music. He tweeted hints that he a new tour is in the works.

And, he's promising to take it the lext level. "already thinking about ideas for #BELIEVE – the music. the tour. the videos…want it to be like something no one has ever seen," he wrote on Twitter.

Let's hope he still has a career after this baby daddy mess is over. In the meantime, check out his video.

For Justin Bieber, loyal Beliebers may be the best birth control - Los Angeles Times (blog)

And even if you got backstage, first of all, he leaves the show as soon as he's offstage, which is pretty cool," Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship, which opened for the 17-year-old on the My World tour, told MTV News. "He runs offstage, gets in a car and jets, because the whole city turns into chaos."

On the "Today" show last week, Bieber told Matt Lauer that he goes "from the stage right to the car" at the end of each show.

Max George of the Wanted, who toured with Bieber in South America, told a similar tale to the Mirror,

"Justin is like our adopted little brother; that's why I believe all this baby stuff is rubbish," George said. "Any spare time Justin had on tour, he'd joke around — crawling under seats and grabbing girls' ankles. It was hilarious."

This has been a really rough time for the young superstar, 23-year-old George added. "He's had the worst time of his life and handled it so well. Doing the paternity test shows how grown-up he's being about it."

Bieber crisis-management rep Matthew Hiltzik on Monday confirmed it: The "Baby" singer will undergo DNA testing upon his return from a swing through Europe, which included stops at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where he and Selena Gomez held hands in front of the cameras, and the Bambi awards in Germany, where he hugged fans onstage.
Yeater, in the meantime, did an interview this week with "The Insider" -- watch the edited version below -- in which she said she went public now because this is a "very serious" matter than Bieber needed to know about. She fled the room in tears twice during the interview, the show said.

About the paternity test — turns out the folks at "Maury," famed for delivering paternity tests live and on camera, is "actively pursuing" the opportunity to host the Biebs' test results, a spokesperson for the show told Huffington Post.

"Maury is trusted by millions of viewers, and if Maury told Justin, 'You are not the father,' everyone would believe it," a former "Maury" exec producer told MTV News.

Hmmm — we're thinking some folks might believe it even without Maury, but maybe that's just us.

RELATED:

Justin Bieber was Mariah Yeater's second-choice baby daddy?

Justin Bieber will take a DNA test; Mariah Yeater team says bring it

Justin Bieber, baby daddy? Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe Debuts At #1 - MTV.com

It's going to be a very Justin Christmas. As predicted, Justin Bieber will land his second #1 album in a row next week when his holiday disc, Under the Mistletoe, nabs the top spot on the Billboard 200.

And though in recent days he's been facing ongoing questions about the paternity suit filed against him by a 20-year-old woman, Bieber has been promoting Mistletoe hard, which appears to have paid off with sales of 210,000 in its first week. That was more than enough to hold off the second effort from rapper Wale, Ambition, which will come in at #2 (164,000), according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

Country singer Miranda Lambert is at #3 with Four the Record (133,000), edging out former "Britain's Got Talent" star Susan Boyle, whose second effort, Someone to Watch Over Me, scores a #4 bow thanks to 132,000 units moved. English act Florence and the Machine make it into the top 10 at #6 with Ceremonials (105,000), while singer/actor Tyrese sneaks in at #9 with Open Invitation (76,000).

The rest of the top 10: Adele holds strong at #5 (108,000), Coldplay fall six spots in week two to #7 as Mylo Xyloto sales dropped 77 percent to 104,000, Michael Bublé moved another 89,000 copies of Christmas (#8) and Kelly Clarkson falls eight spots to #10 in her second week with Stronger, which slipped 69 percent on sales of 51,000.

Just outside the top 10, long-running metal act Megadeth come in at #11 with Th1rt3en (42,000), teen singer Jackie Evancho is at #16 with Heavenly Christmas (27,000) and Blink-182 offshoot Angels & Airwaves sneak in at #30 with Love, Part Two (16,000). Further down the line, a remastered version of U2's Achtung Baby lands at #35 (13,000), just barely ahead of the much-derided Lou Reed and Metallica album, Lulu (#36, 13,000).

Over on the iTunes charts, Wale wins the digital-album sales war, taking the #1 position over Bieber, with Florence and the Machine, Coldplay, Lambert and Adele coming in behind. Rounding out the albums list are Angels & Airwaves, Bublé, Tyrese and Clarkson.

Rihanna lords over the iTunes singles chart with "We Found Love," followed by LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It," Adele's "Someone Like You," Flo Rida's "Good Feeling," David Guetta's "Without You" and Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks." Maroon 5's summer smash, "Moves Like Jagger," holds on at #7, beating out T-Pain's "5 O'Clock," Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" and Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain."

We will see how strong Mac Miller's pull is next week when his major-label debut, Blue Slide Park, hits the charts, along with the Now 40 collection and the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" soundtrack.

Justin Bieber Will Take Paternity Test In Two Weeks - MTV.com

As soon as Justin Bieber returns from a European promotional jaunt in two weeks he will take a paternity test to prove that he did not father a child with a fan who has claimed the pair had a backstage tryst.

Bieber's spokesperson, Matthew Hiltzik, confirmed for MTV News that the test has been scheduled. "I can confirm that the team has proactively made arrangements for Justin to be tested upon his return and we're going to hold everyone who is involved responsible." Bieber, 17, has denied that he is the father of accuser Mariah Yeater's four-month-old child and his team has promised legal action following the results of the test.

"It's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims," Hiltzik said in a statement. "We'll vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and to hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions."

Bieber — who was a big winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday night with wins for Best Pop and Best Male — appeared on the "Today" show on Friday to promote his just-released Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, and addressed the situation. "I'd just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true," he told Matt Lauer. "I know I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim."

Bieber explained on "Today" that the logistics of her claim don't fit with his hectic schedule. "I think it's crazy because every night after the show, I've gone right from the stage right to my car," he explained. "So it's crazy that some people want to make up some false allegations, but to set the record straight, none of it is true. Never met the woman."

It was also reported last week that the incident could spark a statutory rape investigation by Los Angeles police because the woman was 19 years old at the time and Bieber was allegedly 16.

After he returns to the U.S. on November 17, Bieber will visit "Today" again on November 23 to perform a concert on the morning show. He is also slated to sit down with the ladies of "The View" that day.

But she also said Steve might be the real dad."

Miss Yeater claims her baby was conceived after a 30-second romp with Bieber backstage after his show at the Staples Centre, LA, on October 25 last year.

But soon after falling pregnant, Mariah turned up at ex-boyfriend John's house in Las Vegas and said HE was going to be a dad. The 19-year-old said he initially believed her claims, as he had been dating her for four years before she moved to California.

But when he checked the dates he realised it was impossible for him to be the child's father.

Last night John said he was convinced his ex was also lying about Bieber being the father.

"I know it's not Justin Bieber. I said, 'This is impossible, you've been in California two months and back here for only a week.' She told me, 'No, I got pregnant before I left'. But it didn't make sense because she had a doctor's note saying she wasn't pregnant enough for that to be possible."

Then she blamed "Steve". A friend said: "Steve was her secret boyfriend for a long time. She said they made love twice. One of the times the condom broke, so she thought that might be when she got pregnant."

The female pal added: "Mariah also mentioned she had hooked up with Justin Bieber and he might be the father of her baby. But as soon as she said this, she added, 'Just kidding'.

Mariah's friend said jobless Miss Yeater has a history of claiming to be pregnant and telling "stupid little lies".

Bieber mocked her claims, saying: "She's a ridiculous liar. She's not worth talking about."

Justin Bieber was Mariah Yeater's second-choice baby daddy? - Los Angeles Times

Justin Bieber never met her, he told the Today show."/>

When Mariah Yeater accused Justin Bieber of being the father of her baby, she said he was the only one who could've done the deed. But what about the former boyfriend she allegedly identified as the baby daddy back in December?

Ouch, Justin — second choice. That's gotta sting.

Former boyfriend John Terranova, 18, heard from Yeater in December that she was pregnant and he was the father, Terranova's grandmother Frances Lippe told TMZ. Long story short: That who's-the-daddy visit led to an alleged argument, capped by an alleged window-breaking by Yeater, followed by an alleged return by Yeater to discuss paying for said window, finally wrapped up with Yeater's arrest on suspicion of domestic violence after police were called to sort out the second argument that broke out, which allegedly included Yeater slapping her ex repeatedly. (She's due in court Dec. 12 to deal with that charge.)

Lippe said they didn't hear from Yeater after that. Allegedly.

Bieber, meanwhile, said Friday that he'd never heard of Yeater at all before she filed her paternity suit. "Never met the woman," he told the "Today" show gang while a mass of young female fans screamed in the background.

"None of those allegations are true," the pop star said in his newly lower voice. "I know that I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim."

(If that last line came from his just-hired crisis-management team, they may have already earned their keep.)

The Biebs said he goes from the stage to his car after every show, calling it "crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations.

"To set the record straight, none of it is true."

Yeater said in her lawsuit that she and Bieber met at a concert in L.A., were immediately attracted to one another and then went backstage so they could be alone. He then allegedly talked dirty to her and left her with child after 30 seconds of sexual intercourse that was had while she was lying on some sort of bathroom shelf.

And, she said, he never followed through on his promise to give her his number, instead saying he'd remember hers. And he never returned her calls to his people.

One of Yeater's attorneys, Matt Pare, said on HLN's "Dr. Drew" program Thursday that they have "credible evidence" the baby is Bieber's — but it's evidence they haven't shared with the media, because paternity cases are "technically confidential." The paternity suit was filed Monday in San Diego and was confidential except for the part where Star magazine told the world about it immediately.

Also noted by Team Yeater: Despite the age difference — she's 20 now, he's 17, and a year ago they were, well, each a year younger — she would "not technically" need to worry about statutory rape charges, because in this case it would only be a misdemeanor, and a $5,000 fine would be worth it if she got the child support she's seeking.

Bieber was on "Today" to promote his "Under the Mistletoe" Christmas album, profits from which will go to various charitable organizations, including a Canadian food bank that helped his family when they were struggling.

In addition to clarifying he was no baby's daddy, he shared the fact that it was really hard to record a Christmas record in September.

ALSO:

Justin Bieber, baby daddy?
