“An ideal girl is someone who is funny — who can make me laugh,” he said. “And someone who has nice eyes and a nice smile.”

“My mom didn’t even want me dating, but that kind of didn’t work,” he added.

Dustin confirmed to us that his tweet is not a joke. He was told about it by a Twitter employee. Since Bieber is almost a perennial trending topic, I'm not surprised. Still, and given the 180 million unique visitors every month, that's quite an achievement.

What is really important, however, is this: Now, every time that whale pops, you will have one more reason to slap him.

Getting to the Justin Bieber show

Whenever Justin Bieber is nearby, people seem to lose their minds. The Segway escape artist, singer and superduperstar is performing at the Maryland State Fair on Sunday, and while that's north of Baltimore, we know distance means nothing in the hearts of the Bieb's fans.

So, some good news! The Maryland Transit Administration is extending Light Rail hours in the morning and evening because of his 7 p.m. concert in Timonium. (The news release called these "extended 'Bieber Fever' hours," by the way. Just thought you should know.)

The Light Rail will open Sunday at 7 a.m. and operate every 60 minutes until 11 a.m., when the normal schedule begins. From 8 p.m. until midnight, service will operate every 30 minutes. The last trains will depart Timonium at midnight.

Justin Bieber Fans Call MSG Concert 'Best Show Ever'

If fans were looking for a spectacle when they bought tickets to Justin Bieber's Madison Square Garden My World Tour stop, they got it. Bieber was joined by a slew of his celebrity friends including Miley Cyrus, Ludacris, Usher, Jaden Smith and Boyz II Men for the concert, footage from which will be used in his 3-D concert movie, due out next year. After the show, his fans couldn't help but rave about the show and how much they adore Bieber.

"It was amazing! The best concert ever! We love Justin Bieber and we want him to marry us," Bieber fan Kelly told MTV News in the moments after the show wrapped. Another fan added, "OK, so the concert was amazing. We came all the way from the Dominican Republic because we love Justin Bieber. It was all full of surprises and amazing."

Samantha agreed with her fellow Beliebers, saying, "Honestly, it was the best thing I've ever been to in my life." Another fan added, "He danced, he sang, he played piano, drums, guitar, and he was just so cute!"

Olivia Bernstein and her pal Sarah raved about the show's amazing powers, noting that they got into a bit of a scuffle in order to see Biebs in concert. "Fighting with two moms tonight was for him and it was great," she said. "It was so much fun. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. All of the surprise guests were amazing."

Speaking of those special guests, they really amped up the show's already over-the-top energy. "Miley Cyrus came. Usher was there. Jaden Smith, Ludacris ... There were so many people ... it was the best show ever," Olivia explained. Kibriyaa added, "Justin Bieber's my favorite, but when Jaden came out, I just ... I jumped!"

Inside the Garden, the screams were overpowering, and afterwards, Bieber fan Sarah admitted she was still feeling the side effects of Bieber fever. "We thought it was over and then he was like, 'Do you want more?' I can't hear anything because our ears are, like, clogged."

Ladies and gentlemen, crushed-out tweens and cyber bullies: Let it be known that the voice of Justin Bieber, he of the carefully coiffed mop-top and lightly soulful, sweet-as-a-juice-box soprano, has finally begun to change. Call it the crack heard around the world, the most scrutinized advent of puberty since Michael Jackson's, perhaps even the cure for Bieber Fever. The boy wonder will soon become a man. (More or less.) And with this momentous pitch-change comes a host of questions about ability and adult careers, of course, but also about the role the voice plays in gender norms.

Bieber's is a classic coming-of-the-digital-age story, and his YouTube-abetted rising star became an easy target: Facebook groups rallied against him, Twitter rebelled against his trending-topic stranglehold, and a prank Internet campaign was waged to "help" the kid "tour" North Korea. His greatest offenses seem to involve his gender, his sexuality, and his voice—more specifically, the juxtaposition of the three. Even Daniel Radcliffe made news for remarking that he thought Bieber was a woman after hearing him sing.

Forget Bieber Fever—we're talking Bieber Phobia. JB's soprano (and, more recently, high tenor) is not only regarded as peculiar, it's apparently threatening. But why? Falsetto singing has long been part of popular music, from Curtis Mayfield to Cee-Lo, from disco to recent indie rock. That history is contentious, however, and the meaning of a man's upper register changes drastically by genre. Safely bolstered by guitars, for instance, a falsetto-singing rock frontman can come off as coolly secure in his masculinity. In already feminized, dubiously "authentic" genres like dance pop, however, singing "like a girl" in a style that signifies "false" requires some legitimizing legwork. Artists like Justin Timberlake and Usher compensate by closely aligning themselves with hip-hop producers and constructing self-images as ladies' men. But while he's dropped a few hormonal hints, balls-to-the-wall booty jams don't exactly gel with Bieber's boy-next-door image. Physically, nothing about a falsetto is "false": It's simply a register any man could develop if it were given as much attention as the lower timbres we associate with "adult male." Socially speaking, however, vocal timbres are one of the means by which we attempt to neatly divvy up the world into two sexes. The falsetto singer's (feminine) voice seems to belie his (male) body, so his masculinity must be re-established. JB can't accomplish that stylistically: He is not a rock star, and he can't pull off legit soul-singer status, despite the BET Awards nod. But due to both his actual youth and his incredibly childlike appearance, he can't do it sexually either.

In other words, the go-to response to a white boy's dance-pop falsetto is eroticization, but it's just . . . creepy to think dirty thoughts about someone who looks like he's seven. We don't know what to make of the body that goes with the girlish voice, the ambiguous face, and the incredibly youthful boyishness of someone who is almost, but not quite, a man. Do those cooing, cherubic vocals belong to an overgrown boy soprano? A young man singing falsetto? A girl in teen-boy drag? A modern-day castrato?

The flurry of interest in Bieber's vocal puberty, then, is not just about watching a child star try to roll with the big boys, but also about possibly alleviating the aural anxiety over his gender and sexuality. Maybe JB will grow up to be JT, who we are (mostly) comfortable with these days. Far less comfortably, maybe he'll be MJ, his man-child voice frozen in time. Hell, maybe he'll grow up to sound like Barry White. Wouldn't it be interesting, though, if he remained somewhat ambiguous, a compellingly complicated figure, at once alien and appealing? At the very least, Biebs, keep the hair.

Justin Bieber Has £100m Fortune But Can't Find A Girl

Justin Bieber may be the most famous teenager in the world. He may have £100 million in the bank - but he still struggles to get a date. 
Today, in his first ever newspaper interview, the 16-year-old also reveals he HATES school, still gets GROUNDED for bad behaviour and lives off a strict ALLOWANCE of about £30 a day.

The News of the World was given unprecedented access to Justin as he prepared for a concert in Orlando, Florida. 

And he told us candidly: "I'm single but that's not a choice. I want to find a girl. "But I'm not going to date someone who's just going to like me for my fame. 

"It's going to be really hard to find a girl who likes me for me." 
And that's not all that's really hard. We can reveal his life on the road is ruled by four strictly enforced golden rules: 
1. Have eight hours' SLEEP every night. 
2. STUDY four hours a day in term time. 
3. Get good school grades or the show gets CANCELLED. 
4. Be polite to staff - or have his computer and his mobile phone CONFISCATED. 

Manager Scooter Braun explained: "We have these rules to keep him in line. We treat him like any other teenager. "It means he doesn't throw any diva strops." 

The baby-faced star has an equally tough time in his lovelife - though that's hard to believe during our interview at the giant Amway Arena in Orlando. Justin wasn't due on stage for hours and already 5,000 screaming girls were waiting outside. 
Bieber Fever - which sees fans sobbing and even fainting at the sight of the 5ft 2in star - is already being compared to Beatlemania. 
But Canadian-born Justin reckons it was easier for him to find girlfriends BEFORE he became the world's most popular young star last year. 

Recalling his first kiss, he said: "It was at a school dance. I made a bet with my friends - first person to get a kiss gets ten dollars. So I slow danced with this girl and then just went in. Back then I was just a regular hockey-playing kid, so I was lucky she kissed me back!" 

Finding a girlfriend is currently his main priority. So would he date a fan? "It just depends, I guess I would yeah," he says. "Girls that I've dated have liked my music. But you see a lot of celebrities dating other celebrities. They get what you're going through. 

"But I would definitely date someone who wasn't famous. You've just got to find the right one. And when I find one I'm going to date her of course. But it is hard because I'm travelling." 
But he's certain he hasn't been in love yet. "It's kinda like puppy love. It's not the real thing," he said. Wannabe girlfriends should watch out though, because when Justin admitted he fancied pal Kim Kardashian she received threats from his diehard fans. 

So Cheryl Cole might want to beef up her security - because Justin's smitten with the Girls Aloud star too. "I met her in London," he said excitedly, his eyes lighting up. "She's my type. She's really hot. If I were older we would date. I'm just too young. It sucks." 
Justin has scores of celebrity fans too. Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher recently introduced her teenage daughter to him. Teri giggled: "I scored some big points. I told her, 'That's it, nothing else until your wedding. There's nothing between Justin Bieber and after college'." As you'd expect, Justin, who goes on a worldwide tour next year, has everything a teenage boy could wish for - and that estimated fortune of £100 million. 

But his single mum Pattie Mallette and manager Scooter, 28, make sure he isn't spoilt. Reflecting on his millions, Justin said: "My mom wants me to learn how to be very smart with my money." 
So much so that she gives him pocket money of just $50 (£31) a day. Justin said: "If I save that for a week then I have a couple of hundred bucks that I can spend on something special." Justin also has weekly meetings with his business manager. Scooter explained: "We're trying to teach him the value of a dollar." 

They are equally as tough on him about his manners so he doesn't follow the example of teen hellraisers such as Lindsay Lohan. He follows the four key rules and tries hard at "school" - four hours a day of private tutoring. But he sighs: "I don't really like school." 
Scooter added: "I view my job as being a father or an uncle as well as a manager. Even if he apologises after doing something wrong, he doesn't automatically get his phones back." 

His mum goes with him on tour and when she can't be there his dad Jeremy, who he is still close to, steps in. Justin's rise to fame is extraordinary considering his tough start in life. Pattie was just 18 when he was born and worked a series of low-paying office jobs to make ends meet. Justin taught himself to play piano, drums and the trumpet, and entered singing contests in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario. 

Scooter discovered Justin after seeing homemade videos of him singing on YouTube when he was 13. He showed Usher and Justin Timberlake, and after a fierce bidding war - which Usher won - the Biebers moved to Atlanta and began the lad's transformation into a teen idol. 

His debut album My World 2.0 topped the US Billboard charts making Justin the youngest male star to do so since Stevie Wonder in 1963. Justin has gone on to perform for US President Barack Obama and wants to emulate the career of King of Pop Michael Jackson. "I loved him," Justin smiled. "I want to be as successful." 

It seems he is already on his way. Justin's music video Baby is the most viewed YouTube clip in history and 4.2million people follow him on site Twitter. 

His camp was plunged into crisis this week when Justin lost his voice. They brought in world-renowned vocal coach Jan Smith who put it down to his voice breaking. But Justin later assured me: "It's because I was yelling and being a teenager." 

His story is remarkable considering 18 months ago he was skint, but Justin is now one of the world's hottest - and richest - youngsters. 
Scooter said: "It's a dream come true for Justin. His life will never be the same again."

Justin Bieber Gives Surprise Performance At Florida High School

If you were in the Sanford, Florida, area Thursday (August 5) and heard the screams of hysterical teenagers, don't fret. It was probably just the passionate yelps of students at Seminole High School, who were granted a surprise show from none other than singer and inducer of mass tween mania, Justin Bieber.

The Biebs dropped by Seminole High to present the school with a $5,000 donation from the Grammy Foundation and Best Buy to support music education. The singer strummed the guitar, pounded the drums and chatted with students, who were attending a summer band camp, according to reports.

"The students had no idea I was coming, and it was fun to completely surprise them," Bieber said in a statement. "I was excited about this opportunity to team up with Best Buy and the Grammy Foundation to raise awareness around the important cause of funding music education programs in schools. I talked to students about pursuing their passion in music and encouraging them to keep doing what they're doing."

Bieber also shared the experience with his more than 4 million Twitter followers, revealing that he battled illness to make the surprise appearance.

"I actually got sick in the middle of the show and they wanted to cancel but the show must go on and the fans gave me my second [wind]," Bieber tweeted. The singer added that the energy from his Beliebers, especially the female ones, helped get him through the performance. "Been sick all day...but we are toughing through it. SOUTH FLORIDA...the girls....Im feeling better :)"

The singer even gave a shout-out one lucky fan in particular: "So thank u to everyone for being so incredible tonight...and @meganburrier i hope we gave u a good surprise :)."

Justin Bieber Orlando: A little girl gets birthday wish to hear Justin

Spending the weekend in Sin City, Justin Bieber offered up another solid performance at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday night (July 24).

Held inside the Theater of Performing Arts, the "One Less Lonely Girl" singer rolled through the hits including his beloved song "Baby" as his fans went absolutely wild.

“Me plus you, imma tell you one time” My iPhone went off at 6:30. I went to go get ready, load up the car and went off to get my friend Emily.

We drove 6 hours from New York to Ohio to see the best sing ever Justin Bieber. We got there around 1 we got checked into the hotel, we were staying a 5 star hotel in Queen suit, right by the arena. Once we got settled in we went to the train station to go get my other friends Rachel, and Taylor. We showed them to the hotel.
“This room is Huge!” Taylor practically yelled.
“Well there is 4 people staying in it… and my mom could only get this room,” I explained
“Tell your mom that we said thank you for the room and tickets and VIP package.” Rachel said.
“Speaking of VIP… are sound check party and meet and greet is soon. We have an 4 hours to get ready.” Emily reminded us. She knew that Taylor and Rachel and her would take their time getting ready.

I quickly got dress into a Justin Bieber T-shirt that we made earlier and put on a pair of black skinny jeans ,did my make-up, and straightened my hair and parted it by on the side. I was done first. We still had 3 hours before the show. I texted my mom saying ‘ we r here, getting ready, vip at6. Love you’ and sent it. I went over to my purse to grab some money.”Do you guys want anything from the vending machine?” they gave me a list of what they wanted.
I walked down the hall. I heard someone at the ice machine so I started to go back, because I didn’t want to disturb them. But before I could turn around I dropped my purse and gasped.

“Sure, thanks.” We walked all the way down the hall to his room he was of course in the presidential suite. When we walked in Ryan was there playing video games, with Christian.
“Hey guys, this is Danielle. Danielle, this is Ryan and Christian.” He nicely introduced me.

“Aren’t I following you on twitter ?” Christian said as politely as you can while not making it akward.

“So what brings you to Cleveland? If you don’t live here.”

“Well thank you for coming all the way out here to see me.” while he said this I started to laugh. “Why are you laughing?”
“Your thanking me for coming out here, I would go anywhere to see you!”
“Thanks!!” he said while he smiled. I nearly died right there.

He laughed.. “Soo….who are you going to the concert with?”
“Three of my friends.”

“Hey Justin Ryan wants to order room service what do you want?” Christian asked.
“Burger and Fries.” he said. “Do you want anything?”
“No, I’m good we already ate.”
“Ight.” I started laughing. While Christian went in to the living room. “Why are you laughing?”

“So let me guess you have been in ‘love’ with me for years.”
“Yeah… Pretty much.”
He started to laugh. I took out my cell phone 2 new messages one from my mom, just checking up on me and one from Emily ‘Where are you? We cant find you’ I replied ‘ I am with an old friend who I saw, bb soon.’ Sent. I put my phone down beside me.
“Hey Danielle, can you come here for a minute I am trying to find your twitter.” Ryan said while coming in to the room.
“Sure,” as I walked away from Justin.
I told Ryan my twitter he hit follow and I busted in to smiles. He turned around and asked why I was so happy I told him that its like having Justin following me again. As I said that Justin walked into the room.
“Hey, you left your phone in there, I left you a surprise.” he said while giving me a flirty smile.
“Okay?” Before I even got it, he typed in Justin Bieber ;) under contacts. My jaw dropped. He just laughed.
“I trust that you won’t give it out to anyone. I don’t want to change it again.”
“I won’t I promise. I will see you at 6 at the sound check party.” I smiled

“Oh by the way would you and your friends want to get a ride over with us?”
“Are you sure about that? They will ask lots of questions.”
“Its okay, I am use to that.”
“Alright then. If you say so. What time should we meet you? And Where?”
“Meet in the parking Garage at 5. And here,” he gave me a VIP pass. “This pass will let you go backstage whenever you want tonight.”
“Whaaaaaaaat?” my jaw dropped…again.
“Yeah.”
“Alright well I better get going it already 4... I’ll see you soon.”
“Bye” Christian and Ryan yelled.


Justin walked me a little down the hall until he all of a saddened he stopped. I turned around.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing… I better go back.” He was obviously wasnt telling the truth. He started to walk away.
“What really wrong, you obviously just lied to me and walked away.”
“The truth is…..I think I am falling for you.”
WOAH… did JUSTIN DREW BIEBER just say that he was falling for me. WHAT!?!?!?! “Wow… okay well I better go.” I said and left. Once I got into the room, Rachel, Taylor, and Emily asked me how it went, and of course they were still getting ready. I ordered up some Fries for us. We ate them in ten minutes. It was about 4 30 I guess I had to tell them.
“Hey you guys, umm what would you guys say if we went to the sound check with Justin, Ryan and Christian?”
“YEAH!!!” they all yelled.

We went down to the limo waiting in the parking garage we got in. I sat next to Justin along with Emily. Ryan sat next to me and Taylor and Rachel sat in between Taylor and Christian. Things were a little weird, Justin probably told them all about what he thought. Which made things very awkward. Rachel, Emily and Taylor spent the whole time, asking questions ‘what’s your favorite song?’ ‘Are you excited to be on tour?’ We finally got to the arena at 5 15ish. Rachel, Emily and Taylor went to get into the seats, but I stayed with Justin. I needed to talk to him.
